I just finished reading your article in today’s Journal and wanted to thank you for such a beautiful and heartfelt snapshot, not only of your mother, but all mothers. As a mother of 4 little children, I often feel that I do so much wrong, but if I could give my children one gift, “the Bread of Life”, or at least the desire for it, I know that I will have given them something to hold on to in life.
I appreciated the part of the article wherein you say that all mothers are willing to be broken for their children. How true it is, and I loved the eloquence with which you related that.
I can’t remember the last time I wrote to a writer (it’s WAY too busy around here), but I did want to send a short note to say, “Thank you”.
I hope many other mothers find your article and be encouraged today.

Thank you for your kind note Julie.
A beautiful tribute, Steve. Thanks.
