Tonight, in a refreshingly positive use of air space, the CBC began presenting a series of stories from Canadians who are, well, being creatively kind to those around them–people, who are making our planet a better place.
The kick-off profile was on Abbas Jahangiri. He’s the owner of the TO’s "legendary" El Mocambo nightclub. Abbas however, whose model is Mother Theresa, has taken a kind of vow of poverty and spends his nights serving food to Toronto’s homeless.
Cheer’s for Abbas, and kudos for CBC in bringing us stories we can emulate instead of regurgitate.
