Homeless man undeterred by Ralph Klein’s slurred rant

Here’s a worthy news story (Chris Purdy – Globe and Mail).

Having been particularly close to the story, as a past manager of the Herb Jamieson Centre, and reading with incredulity the Occurrence Report the morning after the incident, this outcome, now a decade later, is heartening.

Below is a picture of I took of Premier Ralph Klein (with Hope Mission Board Chairman, Jim Odishaw) serving Christmas dinner to homeless men at the Jamieson Centre the following Christmas (2002). It was a gesture of conciliation that Mr. Klein needed, and I believe wanted, to make.
