Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

When you’ve got the road music on and Duane Allman and Dicky Betts slip into that guitar duet on Midnight Rambler, it’s possible to drive right through an Ohio night. But it’s better to check in to a reasonably run down motel on the I-90, and then, on the following morning, drive downtown Cleveland and spend Sunday at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

It’s churchifying in a rocky-bluesy sort of way. But then again, I could be duped by the devil. Rock and Roll, after all, has been a contributing factor to delinquency of delinquents and the reason why women started wearing pants.

This clip from Pastor Jimmie Snow (son of Hank Snow) was part of the exhibit.

  1. Ahahaha! That clip was hilarious! It’s a shame that pastor was so convinced of the evils of rock and roll because it sounds like the music really moved him!

  2. I heard a speaker once who said it was the bass notes especially that appealed to the lower nature….
