Your story about Gerry reminds me of the stories I heard from people who called the church I pastored asking for help, usually for money. I wish I had kept those stories - some were wonderfully creative, and certainly better telling - and hearing - than anything more "factual" whatever that is. After some painful missteps, I learned to hear and respect the person who was asking and respond as best I could. I even went grocery shopping a few times! And we started a small food bank at our church.

'...why did I think for a second that it mattered if I got at the truth?'

Christmas words. The most beautiful words I have heard in a very, very long time. (Your other posts exempted!) ;)

and

Good news! 50 people so far who want to buy into: www.sharingthelittlepurpleberry.blogspot.com!!! Today I laugh...in fact, all 50 of us wondering if why we thought for a second if it mattered at all if any of us ever got at the truth?

God, I'd hug you if you were here...

Peace
