Over at Hope Mission’s R.W. Tegler Youth Centre…
Michael Hamm, who raps under the name Mikey Maybe, has started a hip-hop program …to help keep junior high kids out of trouble by providing a creative outlet while building self-esteem and literacy skills.

I rememer introducing what we then called “contemporary” folk rock music into the church’s youth program where I was working. They said it was the slippery slope – looks like they were right, now that it’s come to rap! But I still think it’s a great idea – still!
