On loving the poor

Published in today’s Edmonton Journal. This article was inspired by Father Joe Maier’s quote–a quote he attributes to Vincent de Paul– "You must love the poor very much so that they will forgive you for helping them."

Wow! Last spring my wife and I completed an intensive nine month social justice program through our local church. Some of it was very good. Some of it left a lot to be desired. Your “one” article sums up the content of that two semester course on “one” page. Beautiful. Thought provoking.
