There are Canadians who share this notion – that Canada too was founded as a Christian nation.
Some irony – Obama the first African-American president, living in a house that slave labour helped build; dealing with a Congress on the grounds of which were the pens that held the slaves who were tendered for sale.

I think history is a teacher we need to listen to a bit more. I’m glad we have people willing to challenge the Gospel of Division/Hate/Exclusion that I don’t believe the Gospel of Christ was about at all.

I really enjoyed Obama’s interview. My respect for him has grown.
