As sad as goodbyes are, this rings true to me. Thing is, if we had to be here forever, wouldn't it be infinitely harder than it already is to attach meaning to it all, to keep getting up in the mornings? Not that that makes saying goodbye any easier...I'm sad for Bob, for his family, for his friends, and I hope he makes it to that Patsy Cline tribute.
